Our Team
This is more than a profession. It is a calling to provide homes where people are seen, honored, and loved.
Lila Ghising, Co-owner / Operations
Lila Gissing was born and raised in Nepal and has spent the last 25 years living in the United States. Her life’s work has been shaped by compassion, justice, and a deep belief that every person deserves dignity, safety, and belonging.
In Nepal, Lila created multiple safe homes for women and children impacted by human trafficking. These homes became places where children found safety, women rediscovered their dignity, and vulnerable people were given the chance to rebuild their lives. Her commitment to care was also shaped by being raised by her grandmother and by a culture that teaches deep respect for elders. For Lila, caring for the elderly is not optional. It is a responsibility and an honor.
After coming to the United States, Lila continued her work in service and advocacy. She worked with the Salvation Army and in social services in Seattle, then later with Washington State Aging and Home and Community Services and the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). Through these roles, she saw firsthand the growing need for homes where elderly adults and people with disabilities could receive not only support, but true dignity, belonging, and community.
Lila was deeply moved by what she observed. She saw how often elders in Western culture are overlooked, isolated, or treated without the honor they deserve. She also visited multiple adult family homes and listened closely to families share their experiences, concerns, and hopes for something better. That vision became the foundation for Reimagine Adult Family Homes.
Together with her business partner, Billy Sarno, Lila helped shape a new vision for care. They talked, they prayed, and they committed themselves to creating a home that would change the way adult family homes are experienced by residents and families alike.
Lila brings a rare combination of nonprofit leadership, social service experience, cultural wisdom, and heartfelt compassion to Reimagine Adult Family Homes. Her vision is to create a place where elders and people with disabilities are treated with dignity, surrounded by belonging, and cared for in a true community. For Lila, this work is more than a profession. It is a calling to provide homes where people are seen, honored, and loved.
Ms. Ghising obtained her BA Degree in Bangalore, India, and Masters Degree in Social and Civic Entrepreneurship (MASCE) at Bakke Graduate University in Seattle, Washington.
Billy Sarno, Co-owner / Sales
Billy Sarno was born and raised in Federal Way, Washington, and his life has always been shaped by service, faith, and a deep care for people. He spent 30 years as a pastor, walking with individuals and families through life’s most meaningful and difficult moments, building a foundation of compassion, leadership, and dignity-centered care.
He later transitioned into real estate and development, building multiple businesses and helping veterans, families, and individuals across the Puget Sound create new possibilities through housing. His approach made buying, selling, and building homes more personal, clear, and accessible.
Over time, Billy felt called to something deeper. He saw how often elderly individuals are overlooked and believed they deserved more—more dignity, comfort, beauty, and care that truly feels like home. He wanted to reimagine what Adult Family Homes could be. That vision became the foundation of Reimagine Adult Family Homes.
Today, Billy brings together his experience in building high-quality homes with his passion for serving people, creating spaces where seniors feel valued, safe, and deeply respected. He believes every elder deserves a home where their story matters, their faith can be honored, and they are treated with the dignity they deserve.
For Billy, this work is more than a business—it’s a calling to create places where people are truly seen, cared for, and at home.
